WHY WE EXIST

Pharmacy technician training should be accessible.

Preparing for a career in pharmacy should not require spending thousands of dollars on training. Pharmacy Technician Academy was created to provide an affordable alternative without compromising the quality of the education students receive.

We believe pharmacy technician education should focus on what students actually need to succeed: a strong understanding of pharmacy practice, preparation for national certification, and clear guidance as they take the first steps into the profession.

By delivering our training online and focusing specifically on pharmacy technician education, we're able to keep costs lower while giving students the flexibility to learn on their own schedule.
Our goal isn't to be the largest career school. It's to provide pharmacy technician education we would feel confident recommending to someone entering our own profession.

Pharmacy Technician Academy’s educational content is developed by Doctors of Pharmacy who understand both the science of medications and the realities of working in pharmacy.

Our pharmacists bring experience from different areas of pharmacy practice, including patient care, pharmacy operations, management, and medication safety. That experience helps us teach more than facts to memorize. It allows us to explain how the concepts students learn connect to the work pharmacy technicians actually perform.

Our instructors are also available to enrolled students. When a student has a question about the material or needs help understanding a difficult concept, they can reach out directly for guidance from a pharmacist.

Pharmacy Technician Academy is a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program, meaning our training meets PTCB requirements for programs that prepare technicians for national certification. Requirements also vary by state, so we maintain licensing guides to help aspiring technicians understand the rules where they live.
